EVENT DETAILS

The Wildest Run in the West is a new 100K ultra event that follows a large portion of the legendary Western State Endurance Run. The course is remote and travels through difficult and rugged wilderness areas. While the trails and intersections are very well‐marked, expect to run for many miles without assurance ribbons. Nearly sixty (60) miles of the course runs through remote areas. Our eleven aid stations, between the start and finish lines, will be well‐stocked with fruit, salty‐snacks, other traditional ultra foods and electrolyte drinks. Everyone will need to be prepared, both mentally and physically, to endure and navigate this demanding course since access to the course is limited to hikers, horses and helicopters.

WHERE: Race begins at the McGuire Boat Ramp at French Meadows Reservoir and ends at Memorial Park in Foresthill. Foresthill is approximately seventeen miles East of Auburn via Foresthill Road.
